Who are we

Hostel wide angle sm

In December 2004 we, Michael and Max 2 Aussies living in Hanoi, converted a former Diplomat's house into Vietnam's first and only international style Backpackers' Hostel.

The idea was simple "Let's make a place where we'd want to stay". So the hostel is kept laidback, safe, clean and social.

We offer mostly dormitory accommodation in rooms of various sizes but we have a small number of private suites for those of you travelling as a couple or anyone wanting a little privacy. To learn more about our different types of accommodation visit our Hostel and Accommodation page.

We also have not forgotten that it is the people you meet while travelling that make good times and great memories. So to get the parties started there is a Happy Hour everyday from 5pm, 2 for 1 drinks, the Roof Top BBQ's on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm, as well as a Sunday Sessions from 3pm when we supply the free beer and the good times, all you have to do is show up.Hanoi Backpackers1

The friendly hostel staff will help you make the most of your time in Hanoi by answering all your questions about:

  • What to see and do?
  • How to get there?
  • And what it will cost?

This website is created for the purpose of giving you, our valued guest, a preview not only of the hostel, how to find us and the people who stay with us but also Vietnam, <IMGits people, places and how to get out there and see it all.

And if you have any questions about the hostel or Vietnam use the contact form to the right of every page to send your enquries to us, we will be only to happy to answer them for you.
